More and more families today are choosing to cloth diaper their babies.  Many families decide to cloth diaper for financial reasons, others choose cloth diapers over disposable diapers due to their concern for the environment, and some choose to cloth diaper their babies because they want their little one wrapped in a safe, chemical-free diaper like cloth, as opposed to that of a disposable.  For most families, their decision to cloth diaper is a combination of  all of these reasons.  Whatever the reason(s), the advantages of using cloth diapers are fairly clear to most people, even to non-cloth-diapering families: better for the environment, better for baby’s skin, a significant financial savings, etc.  What is not so clear is how to wash the diapers and avoid the pitfalls that cloth diaper laundry can create for many families.
